ECCO Boxes have been proven to degrade to 92% of their original volume over just 4 years. Standard boxes degraded only 5.75% in the same time period.

ECCO Boxes have the same insulating performance as traditional boxes made with standard expanded polystyrene.

How do our boxes biodegrade so quickly?

What truly makes ECCO Boxes special is their ability to naturally biodegrade at a much faster rate than standard EPS. Our boxes are specially coated with an additive that promotes biological degradation and assists with the natural breakdown of the product.

This drastically reduces the overall time needed for the boxes to biodegrade without increasing soil toxicity.

STEP 1

Clean up

Remove everything from the inside and outside of the box that is not a part of the box.

STEP 2

Break up

Split the lid and box into small pieces for easy disposal.

STEP 3

Recycle

The best way to recycle our boxes is to drop them off at an EPS Recycling Center.
